In addition to accessing documents, stored in Files app, via Webasyst backend you can also set up access to your files from within an ordinary file manager on your computer. With this file access option, you do not even have to log into your Webasyst backend to work with your files.
To work with files stored in Files app via a network drive on your computer, install "WebDAV" plugin in "Plugins" section of Files app backend.
Files app settlement
Open Site app in your Webasyst account, proceed to "Structure" section, and add a new rule (settlement) for Files app. If you already have such a settlement, then do not add another one.
For some versions of Windows operating systems; e.g., Windows 7, it is essential that the Files settlement is located at the root fo the domain name; e.g., at mydomain.com/* rather than mydomain.com/files/*
If you are plannign to set up access to Files app for previous versions of Windows, then you may need to register a separate domain or create a subdomain for such a settlement.
Fo any version of Windows, you must install a valid SSL certificate for the domain name on which you will set up remote access to Files app via WebDAV.
Setting up a network connection to Files
In the settings screen of the "WebDAV" plugin, enable the plugin and copy the URL of the Files app settlement ("Server URL") set up via Site app.
