Payment by link

Fast payment without a checkout

As of version Shop-Script 10, you can send your customers an order payment link. The link opens a simple web page where a customer can click a button and quickly proceed to payment for their order on a payment gateway or bank website.

To make such a payment, a customer does not need to check out or to sign into their personal account — you create an order in the store backend and send a customer a payment link; e.g., via a messenger app or as a simple text message. The customer can pay for the order right away by clicking the button on the opened page.

The payment link is always visible on the order-viewing page while an order has not been paid for. If no payment method is selected in the order properties then a customer is offered to choose the most convenient option on the payment link page.

How to use the order payment link

1. Copy the link address

Use the button in the Payment block. Note that the link is available only in the Webasyst 2 interface mode.

2. Send the link address to a customer

Use any convenient method of sending; e.g., a messenger app, email or a text message.

3. Track the payment status

The order processing occurs in the same way as when an order is paid for right after the checkout or in the customer account. So, if a payment plugin supports automatic order status changing then an order will be marked as paid once an appropriate notification (callback) is received from a payment gateway.
